Meanwhile reaches its goal on Kickstarter!

The Founders Loft startup Meanwhile, which offers a newly developed smart camera linked to an app that enables safer monitoring and dog training for dog owners, has announced that they have exceeded their goal with their Kickstarter campaign—with one day left in the campaign!

Annika von Hofsten, CEO of Meanwhile, is more than satisfied with the outcome of the campaign;

"We are incredibly happy and grateful to everyone who helped us reach our goal! The reason we chose Kickstarter is that it not only raises funds but also reaches customers who get a chance to be the first in the world to receive our product. Now, the journey continues with finalizing the development of our portable monitoring camera for animals, so we can help as many pet owners and animals as possible!" says Annika.

Meanwhile has also offered a reduced market price on their innovation—a smart camera equipped with a motion sensor that can detect if the dog is stressed, as well as a temperature sensor that monitors the temperature and alerts if it becomes too hot or cold, enhancing monitoring and creating a safer environment for the dog owner.

Kickstarter, a form of crowdfunding where many individuals contribute small amounts to fund a project, is often conducted in exchange for the product at a discounted price or other rewards as a thank you. During Meanwhile’s Kickstarter campaign, backers can gain access to the product before it hits the market, as well as exclusive accessories.

SheltieCam, the name of the camera, is equipped with a fast 4G connection, similar to that in your smartphone, enabling use anywhere there is mobile coverage. SheltieCam uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for secure authentication and to ensure a stable and reliable user experience.

About Meanwhile

Meanwhile is a startup at Founders Loft focused on providing peace of mind to dog owners. By combining embedded systems, IoT, and smart app features, they create a product that helps dog owners understand how their four-legged friends are feeling when left alone, such as in the car or at a vacation home.

Niclas Gustafsson is the CTO and has a background in developing medical devices such as EKG machines and ventilators, as well as leadership, B2B sales, and project management. Annika von Hofsten, the CEO, has a background in developing plastic components for the automotive industry, software development, leadership, B2B sales, and project management. Together, they bring a combined 17 years of experience in product development.

The product can also be used as a support tool when training dogs suffering from separation anxiety, ensuring that the dog is well and that the training can be conducted safely and effectively.
