Program Structure

Founders Loft's incubator program is based on lean startup principles and consists of four central phases, each linked to the KTH Innovation Readiness Level system. The program typically takes about two years, but the incubation period is tailored to your company's specific goals and needs.

Each company receives a dedicated coach who follows up on progress monthly. During these meetings, the processes and activities necessary to ensure your company's growth and development are planned.

Coaching and Expertise

Founders Loft brings knowledge, skills, and networks to give our incubator companies the best conditions for success. During coaching sessions with the company's dedicated coach, a safe and supportive dialogue is created, focusing on the entrepreneur's unique challenges, ideas, and motivations. Our goal is to help the entrepreneur make informed decisions, navigate different opportunities, and find their own way to lead their business.

Finance

Founders Loft is an independent incubator and one of Vinnova's selected excellent incubators. We operate without profit motives and do not take equity shares.
As part of our support, we provide verification funds for activities that help companies validate their market and customers. This could include financing for participation in trade shows, business trips, or hiring external consultants.

Events and Activities

At Founders Loft, you have the opportunity to participate in about 50 activities and events per year, tailored to the incubator companies' needs and requests. These events combine community-building initiatives with skill-enhancing elements such as lunches, lectures, and workshops.​

Community and Network

Founders Loft strives to build a diverse, inclusive, and international network where passion for business and entrepreneurship is at the center. Through our incubator program, you gain access to an extensive ecosystem of actors and partners – both locally, nationally, and internationally.

Our partners include industry associations, chambers of commerce, and investment networks, which means you always have someone to turn to when searching for new business opportunities.

We also offer a mentor network consisting of experienced entrepreneurs, alumni, business leaders, and subject matter experts. With 15 experts across 9 industries, we can help you connect with potential customers, partners, and investors.

Finally, our incubator companies gain access to our growing

alumni network. The network functions as an experience database,

and through events, group chats, and our mentoring program,

you can get advice and support from previous incubator companies.

Office Space

Founders Loft's incubator is carried out in collaboration with A Working Lab (AWL) at Chalmers Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg. At AWL, your company meets other growing businesses in a dynamic co-working environment where collaboration, networking, and development are the focus. With a close connection to research and universities, unique opportunities for innovation and collaboration are created.

As part of our incubator program, you get access to AWL's co-working community, with flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, social areas, a gym, and group training.

Benefits

Founders Loft places great emphasis on collaborating with external actors. Therefore, we have established partnerships with organizations that provide our incubator companies with access to necessary resources and cost-effective solutions. Our offerings include support in areas such as law, board work, IT, and sales.

Application and Eligibility

Founders Loft accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our incubator program. To apply, you first fill out our form and are then invited to an initial conversation with one of our business developers. During the meeting, you'll get a clearer picture of Founders Loft while we jointly map out where you are today and the goals you aim for in the future.

We are looking for you who:

• Run a newly started limited company (AB) that is younger than 5 years.

• Your company consists of at least two founders.

• You have created an offering that solves a clearly defined problem.

• You have an innovative idea with a technical solution that allows you to scale your business.

• Your solution contributes to the Agenda 2030 goals.

• Your potential market should eventually be able to expand internationally.

• You are ready to fully commit to your business.
