International Delegation from Ukraine and Moldova Visited Founders Loft

On 14 November, Founders Loft welcomed a delegation from Ukraine and Moldova participating in TechStep Sweden, a program led by OTGS – Open Trade Gate Sweden. The initiative supports IT companies in exploring the Swedish market, building business relationships, and gaining insights into how the Swedish innovation system operates.

During their visit to Gothenburg, the delegation met with several key actors in the region’s innovation ecosystem, and Founders Loft was included as one of the program stops — with a focus on providing insight into how one of Vinnova’s excellence incubators works in practice.

During the visit, the Founders Loft team presented how the incubator supports entrepreneurs in early and most critical stages of building their companies. The delegation was introduced to our coaching model, our working methods, and our collaborations with academia, public organisations, and industry — all aimed at creating the best possible conditions for sustainable growth.

We also shared examples from our 25 years as an incubator and the long-term development journey we have made together with entrepreneurs building sustainable, scalable, and internationally competitive companies. Our entrepreneur Dr. Christian Fleischer, founder of Cognivity AI, also joined the visit to share his own experiences and why Gothenburg is a strong environment for early-stage tech companies.

Valuable Exchange and International Perspectives

International connections are an important part of Founders Loft’s mission. Collaborations and exchanges like this strengthen our own ecosystem while enabling us to open doors for startups and innovation actors from other countries.

The visit led to valuable discussions about how different countries structure their innovation support, the challenges entrepreneurs face in early stages, and how international cooperation can contribute to strengthening sustainable entrepreneurship.
